Spring has Sprung!

Well, Spring has taken it's time getting here, but seems to be coming in with a flurry now. Temperatures are to reach the 70 degree mark this weekend.
You still have time to apply dormant oil to help control those disease and insect problems on your fruit trees. Make sure the night temperature is above 40 and the trees have not yet sprouted new leaves. Use Oil and Lime Sulfur for the peach trees to control Peach Leaf Curl.
You can apply crabgrass control to your lawns now. You should try to get that finished before the Forsythias bloom.
We have a selection of early season annuals and perennials coming before the weekend, so take a look at your gardens for any holes that you might want to fill with early spring color. Our early season vegetables should arrive then too. We are expecting Cabbages and Broccoli. We do have our onion sets, not plants yet, and our seed potatoes here. The Asparagus has arrived too.
If you are just wishing for warmer weather, stop by and roam around the greenhouse. It smells of warm, wet soil. I find that lifts your spirits on the days of April showers.
