FROST!

The weather people are calling for scattered frost tonight. Cover any tender plants with some type of cloth protection. Do not use plastic as it actually causes the air under it to become colder and will insure you have frost damage.

New Arrivals

What a Day! The sun is shining and the plants are growing.
We had a delivery truck arrive today bringing our first load of flowers for the spring. We received pansies, violas, dusty miller, and some alyssum. All of these can take cool temperatures, so it is okay to plant them out now.
We also received our cool weather vegetable plants. We have cabbage, broccoli, brussels sprouts, head lettuce, cauliflower, and kohlrabi.
For those who just cannot wait, we did bring in a few flats of tomatoes. It is not safe to plant them outside, they will get too cold, but you can get a head start by potting them up and growing them larger inside.
Some of our perennials came along on the truck, and some are even blooming. It is not too early to plant them out into the garden.
Hope to see you this weekend. Have a great Easter.
